Deep Dive

Action-Adventure

This project was carried out during the first year of Master's degree as a semester project. It was produced by a team made up of 3 Game Designers and 3 Programmers in 3 months.

What was my job?

  • Pre-production (concept research, implementation of mechanics and systems, creation of 3 enemies, level design standard)

  • Creation of 6 blockmesh levels

  • Gameplay integration in all levels

  • Integration of dialogues throughout the game

  • Setting up scripted cameras in all levels

Skills acquired

Deep Dive is the first 3D game I worked on. It served as an introduction to the issues of producing a level in 3D from start to finish.

This project taught me: ​

  • The importance of setting up precise metrics as well as respecting them during the blockmesh phase

  • Scripting basics (event triggers and scripted camera)

  • Collaborate with level artists to facilitate the graphical integration and respect of the metrics

  • Ensure the quality of my level
