Mighty heroes

This project was completed during the third year as a semester project. We were a team of 2 Game Designers, 2 Programmers and 4 Game Artists with 4 months to produce a mobile game.

What was my job?

  • Preproduction (concept research, implementation of mechanics and systems to facilitate the addition of content, level design standard)

  • Creation of 2 levels in blockmesh

  • Gameplay integration of 2 game modes in the levels

  • Level balancing (number and type of enemies to appear)

  • Integration of scripted events

Skills acquired

Mighty heroes is the second 3D game I worked on as sole level designer. It allowed me to experiment with two different working methods and to understand what worked and what didn't in the design of a level.

This project taught me: ​

  • The creation of a scalable system facilitating the addition of content during production or post-launch

  • The importance of maintaining the GA-LD relationship to ensure that the level's design intentions are respected
